Abstract:
A core business of Software Engineering Australia (SEA) is ``to improve
the business of software'' by, among other things, ``fostering innovation''
(ref the SEA vision statement). It is not enough for scientists to
put the information out there, technology uptake must be driven.
The SEA Agent Project is funded by a grant from the Department of Communications,
Information Technology and the Arts as a test-case for Rapid Technology
Diffusion. The hope is that SEA can fulfil a new role facilitating
communication between science and industry and hence the transfer of ideas
into applications. In one sense this new role can be seen as a marketing
role.
At this presentation the SEA model for marketing Agent Technology will
be presented and interested parties will be asked to think about how they
would like to be involved in the process.
